This Mid-Century Modern inspired coffee table is right at home in any décor with it’s modern angular lines and magnificent Sycamore live edge slab top. It will also fit into any room at 105cm long x 50cm wide and 38cm tall.
The base was inspired by the Mid-Century Modern movement while incorporating a contemporary feel by using rectangular steel tubing instead of more traditional wood. It also incorporates a storage rack to make room for your favorite books, magazines and other lounging essentials. A natural muted finish was given to the base that is satin lacquered to provide a maintenance free finish.
The top is built from a single, solid slab of Sycamore hardwood. It was locally sourced in Suffolk county and was felled in Henham Park where the Latitude Festival is held every year. One side has a flat machined surface and the other side of the slab has a wonderful and characterful live edge. The slab has a large chamfer along the bottom edge echoing the angular lines of the base. The surface is sanded flat and finished with Osmo Poly-X hard wax-oil to enhance the subtle beauty, graining and colour of this slab.
